On Monday night, Twinkle and Toast teamed up with an amazing group of vendors to create a fun and educational experience for calligraphy newbies at HairDrezzers on Fire. As a San Diego Event Photographer, I love sharing new experiences, especially when other creatives are involved, so I was excited to check it out!
I’ve tried my hand a few times at calligraphy and failed miserably, but I had faith that if anyone could teach me how to do it, Taryn of Twinkle and Toast could. Using the pointed-pen method of calligraphy, Taryn’s developed a really signature style that is the epitome of stylish cool. I won’t say that the class got me anywhere near where she’s at, skill-wise, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I picked up! Maybe you can look forward to getting some pretty mail from me one day!
Aside from picking up some new skills, I was excited to take home a little goodie bag from The Printed Pallette, to taste some goodies by Root Cellar Catering, whose food always looks as delicious as it tastes, followed by sweet treats from Viva Pops! Classing up the event were flowers by L & S Design Co. and some delicious wines from One Hope Wine.
If you’re looking to learn some new calligraphy skills, or even just a fun night out with friends, be sure to keep an eye on Twinkle and Toast’s workshop offerings. It doesn’t get more fun than this! Thanks again to everyone involved for a really fabulous time!
